Turkey Hunts

he number of wild Eastern turkey in Iowa continues to climb and is incredible. Spring turkey hunting is a thrill like no other. To get to hear several toms gobble and see them strut is a site to behold. Iowa's spring turkey season runs mid-April through mid-May with the state accepting non-resident applications in January. Shotgun, muzzleloading shotgun and archery hunts are all available. Our local birds generally weigh in excess of 25 lbs.

A $100 deposit is required per hunter at time of booking to hold hunt dates pending the "non-resident draw". This must be received no later than 7 days after verbally confirming tentative dates. If not received within 7 days, the dates will not be held. Once the draw results are available, if successful the remaining amount of the 50% deposit is required within 7 days. The final payment is required 30 days prior to the hunt. There are no exceptions. If unsuccessful in the draw, the deposit will be refunded within 7 days or can be applied to future dates at the discretion of the client.
Note for resident hunters: A 50% deposit is required within 7 days of booking dates. The balance is required 30 days prior to the scheduled hunt. In the event you book hunt dates within 30 days, CASH or MONEY ORDER will be required. Personal checks will not be accepted.
NOTE: All hunts end daily at NOON.
The individual hunter is responsible for knowing, understanding and following all state regulations regarding the game being hunted. Any violation of game laws will not be tolerated, are grounds for immediate termination of the hunt and will be reported to a conservation officer.
